Hard chrome plating is widely used as coatings resistant coating to extend the service life of mechanical parts . However, conventional hard chromium plating process produces hexavalent chromium ions, which is a known carcinogen . Thus, the entire electroplating industry is a major effort to replace hard chrome plating and environmentally friendly , non-carcinogenic coatings have similar or superior to hard chrome .
Our Zinc die casting parts are chromed with the process. The surface is very nice, similar as mirror.
A new nano- cobalt-phosphorus -based coatings have been developed pulse plating processes. The resulting nanocrystalline cobalt- phosphorous coating seems to be a very promising alternative to hard chrome , characterized by equal or superior to those hard chrome . However, the nano- crystalline cobalt-phosphorus -based paint in the electroplating process based on pulse plating. In the pulse plating , is applied between the anode and the cathode voltage pulses at different amplitudes at different frequencies. This pulse plating process for the production of nano- cobalt- phosphorous coating requires a special power supply
