Financial details of the transaction have not been revealed, reported Just-drinks.com.

Molson Coors UK's has had a "long-standing" association with contract brewer Thomas Hardy.

Following the deal, Thomas Hardy will continue contract bottling business operations from the Burtonwood facility in England.

Molson Coors UK & Ireland supply chain director Victoria Segebarth was quoted by Just-drinks as saying: "The acquisition will open up the potential for experimental brewing in addition to exploring partnership opportunities with our customers".

Earlier this month, Molson Coors UK said it was reviving its on-trade wholesale business with a new identity as part of its efforts to become market leader.

Last month, Molson Coors agreed to divest its UK maltings business Shobnall Maltings to Malteries Soufflet, a subsidiary of Soufflet Group.

Upon completion of the deal, Molson Coors intends to focus on its core business of manufacturing and selling beer, Reuters reported.
