The mode of action of quinolones is belived to be the inhibition of DNA gyrase, an essential bacterial enzyme that maintains superhelical twists in DNA. As a result of its broad spectrum effectiveness, Enrofloxacin produces a comprehensive and extensive control against a wide range of infectious diseases of respiratory, digestive and urogenital systems. Its activity covers the whole Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria including: E.coli, Salmonella, Staphylococci, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Streptococcus etc. It is also effective against many diseases caused by Mycoplasma and Chlamydia. Indications: Enrofloxacin injection is recommended for the treatment of most diseases affecting respiratory, digestive and urogenital tracts, caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria as well as Mycoplasma and Chlamydia. Administration and dosage: By intramuscular injection. Cattle, sheep and swine: 2.5mg per 1 kg of body weight. Once or twice daily, continuously for 2-3 days.
